Relief for Residents! Broxbourne’s Council Tax and Benefit Portal is Back!
Good news for Broxbourne residents! The Council’s tax and benefit portal has recently undergone an upgrade, aiming to improve user experience and functionality. While the revamped portal is now live and generally working well, some residents have noticed a few early-stage bugs, such as broken links and navigation issues.
We tested the portal ourselves and encountered similar problems with certain links not functioning as expected. Although it’s early days, it might have been beneficial if the Council had involved the community in the testing phase to iron out these issues.
Despite these minor setbacks, the upgrade is a positive step towards better digital services for residents. The Council is expected to address these bugs in the coming days. Stay tuned for updates and let us know if you encounter any issues using the portal!
Flash Floods Hit Broxbourne Following Heavy Overnight Rainfall
Broxbourne experienced heavy downpours overnight, resulting in sudden flash floods across several areas. The Met Office had issued a yellow weather warning from Monday 4pm to midnight, covering much of South Wales, South West England, and southern England, including Broxbourne.
The Met Office warned of potential disruptions, with a high chance of difficult driving conditions due to spray, standing water, and hail. Flooding of homes and businesses is also a possibility, alongside short-term power losses. More heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecasted for the coming days, so be sure to carry your umbrella and stay safe on the roads!
