It’s here! Broxtown, your fresh, community-led newsletter, is launching to bring the latest local news and updates straight to the inboxes of residents across the borough of Broxbourne. We know how busy life can get, so we’ve designed this newsletter to be quick, easy to digest, and packed with the info you need to stay in the loop—all delivered first thing in the morning.
Why Broxtown Matters
Let’s face it—keeping up with everything going on in our neighbourhood can be a bit of a headache. Whether it’s local events, school closures, or last-minute roadworks affecting your school run, having one place where all this information is easily accessible can make a world of difference. That’s where Broxtown comes in. We’re here to make sure you know exactly what’s happening in Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Waltham Cross, and everywhere in between—without having to sift through a ton of websites or Facebook groups.
How Broxtown Came to Life
The idea for Broxtown started this past summer. As a parent, I found it surprisingly difficult to figure out where to take my kids for fun activities. I relied on other parents at Grundy Park to find out what was happening. It wasn’t just about events—getting caught out by road closures during school runs became a regular problem, too. The information was out there, but scattered across different places, making it hard to stay on top of things. And for local businesses? There wasn’t a single, easy way for them to reach residents with promotions or special deals.
That’s when I thought, “Why isn’t there a central place for all this?” So I decided to create one—a newsletter that’s concise, friendly, and straight to the point. And thus, Broxtown was born.

A Community-Led Effort
While the idea started with me, it’s quickly grown into something bigger. I’m thrilled to say that Broxtown is now a community-led newsletter. We’ve teamed up with a group of amazing locals who share a passion for keeping Broxbourne connected. We’re all working together to bring you the best possible experience, but we can’t do it alone.
That’s where you come in! We’re actively seeking volunteers who can help us shape the future of Broxtown. Whether it’s contributing stories, spreading the word, or offering insights, we’d love to have more residents join our mission to make this newsletter something truly special.
For local businesses, if we haven’t connected yet, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s explore how we can work together to promote your business and any special deals you’re offering to the great people of Broxbourne. This is all about supporting local businesses and building a stronger community by the people who live and work here.
